Soon... New guitar day: Thorell
I wanted to share with everyone here that I've just finished setting everything up with Ryan at Thorell guitars to place an order for a new guitar. A custom FV model will be ready for me around september if everything goes according to plan!
Ryan has been very helpful, attentive and informative during the whole process. Recent discussions regarding boutique or custom guitar builders aside, I feel like a special customer every time I talk to him.
Anyone else around here play a Thorell?

I own a custom FV. Beautifully made guitar. Was a bit bright for my tastes. Switched out the capacitor and got a great mellow tone with a touch of a edge to it. Comfortable to play and great for fingerstyle work with a 1 3/4 nut and 25.5 scale. I am sure you are going to love it.
I got to see Frank Vignola's FV close up and a friend played it. Amazingly high setup with heavy duty strings. Opposite of what I expected. Though obviously works well for him.
